To mark the 40th anniversary of Pride in Toronto, CBC Toronto hosted Proud To Shine, a virtual panel discussion about the past, present, and future of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Toronto and at large. CBC Toronto approached my to develop the key art to accompany the promotion of the event, while incorporating Proud To Shine branding that had been developed for previous years. The approach was an over-the-top, inclusive mash-up of figurative subjects, abstract elements, and clashing patterns. These elements came together to act as a visual representation of Pride, of being loud and proud, and of the abundance that is Pride in the city.
